Cape Town to Mauritius and back in October

Monday 31 October

Hy guys, we are progressing about 70nm off Reunion now, but the wind has backed to E/NE and we are now beating. So the bad news is that our SOG is around 5kts max and it seems it'll remain as such until our arrival in Port Louis (the wind could further back as well.)

It seems that we will reach Mauritius by

Monday 24 October

We, the unassured are well and finally have the following seas to take us way made good well to Mauritius. Caught a Bonita and are making a casarole with it now. Sailing and trimming skills grow more now. Wishing you well, penny in the wishing well, Hot Ice 31 42S 041 44

Hi Guys,

Survive, survive, survive, we did the Southern Ocean this time, and the great wet dampness- ya India-O time.  There's definitely not pirates around here and we expect to be in Madagascar in just over a weeks time at a southern port.  All good now that were on our way in a northerly way.  Bit shy for wind just now but

Wednesday 19 October

Hi guys, a large depression is over us now, going north and beating since last night. We hope the depression is now going to give us a northly to take east again and later tomorrow a westerly. We are taking lots of wet at the moment so can't wait to get our westerlies again. position 35 39'64S   032 51'19E. Au revoir Smile

Tuesday's update

We just cleaned out a lot of the foods and had to throw some it's a shame but even the skipper was surprised it was wet.  Weve had some serious wet weather both outside and inside the boat but what's coming next is likely going to get nicer and nicer.  Other than that, it's a plesasure out here and so wonderful to be off into the Indian Ocean and the sunsets are the stuff of dreams. Doing lots of studying to work on our theoretical component further as well.

All crew is happy and we are now cruising south east on close haul. The night was quiet with few scattered showers here and there. Our position is 36 33'26S / 032 26'06E
