WHO'S IN
CHARGE?

ROBBIE DOVE is the Academy's principal and is one of the country's most highly respected racing and cruising yachtsmen and instructors. He holds both the local SAS and the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Ocean/Instructor certificates, and was appointed as an RYA Examiner for Power and Sail in 2003. He is also an Examiner for South Africa's sailing authority (SAS).

Robbie's wealth of knowledge and expertise in racing and cruising is visible in our sail training standards and excellent student success rate.

WHO, WHAT AND WHERE
WE ARE IN SHORT...

Ocean Sailing Academy is the largest RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and SAS (South African Sailing) Training Centre in Southern Africa specialising in Sail and Power Career Training for the international yachting industry (leisure courses too!)

The Academy is perfectly nestled between Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, lying within Cape Town's most sought after tourist area, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Shops for absolutely everything and anything are found here and a tempting array of superb restaurants, coffee shops and "English" pubs are "open-late" for the parched and famished.

Basking seals and circling gulls complete the marine scene of Cape Town's foreshore, and yachtsmen and women from all around the globe come here to experience the beauty of the area as well as to sail in some of the most challenging waters in the world (our claim to fame).
